In mid December DMX was sentenced to his third prison term of 2010. The rapper was arrested because of a probation violation after he was cited for use of Oxycontin without a prescription, failing to submit to a drug test, failing to participate in counseling programs, failure to make payments and driving on a suspended license. The key word seems to be FAILURE unfortunately for DMX.
Now the named Earl Simmons has been admitted to the mental health unit while in prison. On 20th December he was sent to the Flamenco Mental Health Unit inside the Alahambra Prison complex. He had been spending his time at Arizona’s Tent City, notorious for its tough conditions.
Judge Christine Mulleneaux, who sentenced X to a year inside a couple weeks ago, noted that the rapper may suffer from bi-polar disorder or some sort of mental affliction. Just bad news for the once known as a phenomenon.
According to the Phoenix New Times, DMX’s manager, Nakia Walker, wouldn’t comment on whether DMX might have a mental disorder, but says she wasn’t surprised when she learned that he was being moved to a mental health unit.
