Thirty-three-year old Donnie “Peaky” Isaac of Conaree, according to reports reaching MiyVue.com, was shot while walking along a stretch of road in the vicinity of the Conaree Community Centre, by an individual who was reportedly travelling in a vehicle.
Inspector Vaughan Henderson, Press and Public Relations Officer of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, explained to this publication that, “At approximate 9:25 p.m., police officers of Criminal Investigations Department received a report of a shooting in the Conaree area. As a result of this report, police officers from the Criminal Investigations Unit and the Special Services Unit (SSU) responded to the area immediately.”
He further indicated that at the time of the incident the victim was “walking alongside the road which runs adjacent to the community centre when an assailant shot him multiple times from a moving vehicle.”
Isaac was rushed to the Joseph N. France General Hospital in a private vehicle where he received emergency medical treatment and is said to be in “stable but serious condition”.
Inspector Henderson said the scene was processed and indicated that at press time, no suspects were in custody in relation to the incident.
Investigations are ongoing.
