The event has been included as part of the celebration of the 2011 Tourism Awareness Month, under the theme, “Tourism is Key for all of us.” 

Residents and tourist alike are therefore being encouraged to attend the food fair and sample some of the dishes that will feature foods grown and harvested locally. 

The event will take place on Friday 25th November, 2011 from 11:00am to 4:00pm at the Independence Square, with the theme “TASTE ST.KITTS”. 

The focus this time will be on local meats. An official from the Agriculture Department stated that lion fish will also be served from the lion fishing contest which will be held days before the event. 

The food fair will also feature various local artists; crafts and local designer clothes, including Sugar Klothing and Brown Sugar.
