According to organizers, during the closing exercises, participants will display the skills gathered during their extensive week of training.
At the workshop the individuals were introduced to an assortment of creative dance forms such as revival, dink-mini/gerreh, bele, kumina, modern, dancehall and soca.
The tutors of the workshop Ms. Desi Brown and Ms. Leburnah Liburd bursting with creative energy, recently completed a creative dance summer programme at the Edna Manley College Visual and Performing Arts Summer Dance School in Jamaica.
The initiative was taken by the young ladies to showcase their new skills and to share their knowledge to the young aspiring dancers.
The workshop which was facilitated by Department of Culture started from August 22nd and will climax Friday August 26th 2011 at the Victoria Road Community Centre.
