Elderly Benefit from Rotarians Outreach Program

It was therefore in this spirit of support and humanity that the Rotary Club of St. Kitts recently delivered several Care Packages to the elderly, who were identified by the member churches of the St. Kitts Christian Council in the Basseterre area.

The distributions took place on 1st October 2011, when twenty packages were delivered filled with groceries, health and personal care products prepared by the Community minded professionals and donated by C & C Trading Limited.

All of the beneficiaries praised the club for the thoughtful gesture and expressed their delight in receiving the items, which will go a long way in helping to meet their immediate needs.

The program started in 2008 is carried out three times per year, Easter, Independence and Christmas.

They also support programs for youth, educational opportunities and international exchanges for students, teachers and other professionals, and vocational and career development. The Rotary motto is SERVICE ABOVE SELF.
