The fair follows closely on the recently held St. Kitts-Energy Energy Week from Nov 6-11, 2011 under the theme “Sustainable Energy for Economic Security.”
“The main goal of this interactive activity is to allow providers of renewable energy and energy efficiency products and/or services to display their goods and to allow participants to meet all of the important players in the Energy Sector in St. Kitts-Nevis,” and energy department explained. It will also be an important opportunity for public education regarding all matters related to energy.
The expo will be held on Friday, 2nd December from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, on Princes Street in Basseterre. The Expo is being funded by kind contributions of OAS, CARICOM, PDVSA and SOL.
The St. Kitts-Nevis Energy Department will be also be launching a logo and poster competition as well at its new Facebook page at the Energy EXPO. Sign up on the new page and enter for a chance to win an iPad 2, said a statement. Participants are encouraged to visit the department’s booth to learn more about these wonderful opportunities.
The Energy Department is inviting residents to take part in the St. Kitts and Nevis Energy EXPO to learn about new energy alternatives and future projects related to geothermal, wind and solar energy from industry professionals and senior government officials.
