The 3 week festival will be a blend of revelry, entertainment and fun for everyone. Organizers have promised a fusion of bashes and parties, with a slate of events, expected to draw thousands to the north-western town.
The calendar of events will span from April 1st -25th, and will feature activities from swimsuit pageants, to open-air debates, and from family outings, to gospel concerts.
There is also scheduled to be a novel event dubbed, ‘Tractorcade‘, combining the pulsating street jam sessions that nationals enjoy with a focus on ‘Eat local, Buy local’. Already, farmers have begun nurturing their finest harvests to display when ‘Tractorcade’ makes its way through the town of Sandy Point this Easter.
The Black San’ SPIRIT Game Show is set to be another first, in next month’s festival. The event is said to be catering to families who may qualify to win a grand prize of an all-expense paid cruise package for 4.
In this event, families will be coming up against families in different segments, including a Family Feud battle. A family Game show is another unique activity that has been incorporated.
The RAMs sponsored Endurance Bike-a-thon will feature participants in an island-wide bike race, with a grand prize of EC$5,000.
The festival organizers have made sure to include the Service Charge J’ouvert Jam that will see revelers taking to the streets of the town in various costumes.
