(EMU) – St. Kitts, September 3, 2018: Parents, students and teachers around the Federation were filled with excitement today, September 3, as they entered the classrooms for the first day of the 2018/2019 academic year.
As the Ministry continues to foster the development of the nation’s youth, this year is poised to be a year of excellence. Last week, (August 27-31), teachers employed by the Ministry were engaged in a professional learning environment while strengthening their classroom delivery techniques and leadership skills at the Teachers’ Summer Training Workshops. The annual workshop is a strong foundation to commence the preparations for the academic year ahead and is lauded for its efficiency and productiveness.
It was a festive morning at the Verchilds High School as teachers lined up along the corridors and greeted parents and students alike with warm hugs and courteous smiles. Majority of the students looked eager, ready to return to the classrooms and reunite with their peers.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education et al, Hon.
