Fire & Rescue Defeats Newton Ground in Second Division Cricket Encounter

Marrishaw was ably support by Tashmail Mills who scored 24, to help his team reach the low target of 96 set by the opponent.

Newton Ground won the toss and decided to bat first, reaching only 96, from 22 overs, with Allister Johnson and Harris both scoring 22. The bowling for Fire & rescue was led by Noval McCall with figures of 5 for 13, Jason Saddler, 2 for 14 and Al Richards, 2 for 19.

In reply, when Fire & rescue went to the crease, it took just 14 overs and the loss of only 2 wickets, before they secured victory.

The bowling for Newton Ground saw Layton Williams with 1 for 16 and Harris 1 for 25.

Fire & Rescue therefore winning by 8 wickets in a match that was adjudicated by umpires Carlton Browne and Abraham Richardson.
