Basseterre, 6th March 2023, (MyVue News.com)-The Organizing Committee for the St. Kitts Music Festival on Sunday, 5th March, released the first set of names of artistes who have been confirmed to perform at the 25th Anniversary celebration later in June this year.
At an “unveiling” event that was held at the Eco Park in Newton Ground, in the western parts of St. Kitts, some 10 names were announced.
These include Air Supply, Koffee, Byron Messai, Grand Masters, Govana, Skillibeng, Skinny Fabulous, Chronnix, Patrice Roberts and Valiant.
The Committee has promised that more releases are expected to complete the full roster.
Sunday night’s release has attracted mixed reactions from the public at home and overseas.
This year’s festival will be held from Thursday, 22nd to Saturday, 24th June.
The festival, which was inaugurated in 1996, was created as part of a more comprehensive plan to increase visitor arrivals to the island.
This objective has largely been met over the past decades.
The event was, however, cancelled in 2020 and 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
