An official from the Department has advised the general public that effective Monday 21st May, 2012, the direction for the movement of traffic on certain streets in Basseterre will be modified.
Brombill Street (east of Fulton’s Bakery) will see traffic now flowing northwards only, from the Bay Road to George Street.
On upper Delisle Street, traffic will now travel northwards only, from Liverpool Row, to Prince’s Street; while on George Street, between Stainforth Street and East Independence Square Street, traffic will flow in both directions.
An official from the Licensing Authority has indicated that they will continue to observe the flow of traffic in Basseterre and continue to formulate the necessary alterations accordingly.
The officials also pleaded to the general public to comply with the new regulation as they seek to make the roads safer.
