Sir Kenneth is the university’s first chancellor while Thompson has been appointed as the first Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the UCC Foundation.

The appointments took effect on September 1.

A release from UCC states that in his role as chancellor, Sir Kenneth will guide the corporate governance processes and chair the UCC Advisory Council.

He will also act as the chief representative of UCC’s outreach efforts to the various communities of interest locally, regionally and internationally.

Thompson, who served for 21 years as president of Northern Caribbean University will, as pro-chancellor at UCC, provide leadership in the area of academic policy and accreditation.
