Former SKNFA General Secretary Calling for Urgent Meeting of Football Association

The request is coming from the former General Secretary of the SKNFA, Mr. James Buchanan, who said in a press release on Friday, that “The recent demise of Jack Warner and other regional football administrators has given rise to the need for elections for a number of positions on the Executive of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU).”

Buchanan added that with an upcoming election to be held on November 20th to replace Jack Warner as president of the CFU, the SKNFA should be considering the implications of any shift of the seat of power of CFU from Trinidad and to what extent St. Kitts and Nevis Football can benefit.

“It is with this in mind, I am calling on the General Secretary of the SKNFA, to convene a meeting of the member associations of the SKNFA to allow for discussions on positions that the SKNFA should take on these matters,” said the former executive member.

Buchanan said he was of the view that member Associations should be given an opportunity to hear what direction the Executive of the SKNFA is contemplating, and to express their views on the matter.
