Of the six, four of the Bills will be introduced and given a first reading whilst the other two were introduced and given their first reading at previous sittings.
Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Dr. Denzil L. Douglas will introduce and have a first time read of the Island Enhancement Fund (Amendment) Bill and the Value Added Tax (Amendment) Bill.
The introduction and reading for a first time of the Solid Waste Management (Amendment) Bill will be done by the Minister of Health, Social Services, Community Development, Culture and Gender Affairs, Marcella Liburd
Minister with responsibility for Tourism and International Transport, Sen. Richard Skerritt will introduce the Saint Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) (Amendment) Bill and read for the first time.
In addition to the mentioned bills being debated, The Gang (Prohibition and Prevention) Bill, which was introduced by Minister of National Security; Sam Condor and given its first reading two months ago on June 2nd and The Co-operatives Societies Bill, introduced by Senior Minister and Minister of International Trade; Timothy Harris, and given its first reading on 17th March will also be debated by participating ministers.
The Magistrate’s Code of Procedure Act, 2011 will also be given its first reading at the meeting, this will be done by the Attorney General and Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs, Patrice Nisbett.
