The clinic is being hosted by the Rotary Club of Liamuiga in association with a team of medical professionals from the United States. Over sixty (60) aestheticians and pedicurists will be involved in the program that runs until Friday 24th January, 2014. They will also be utilizing the support services of the medical students in the 2014 Graduating Class of the North American School of Podology (NASP), to provide foot care service for interested persons. They will be under the leadership of Dr. Katharin von Gavel who is the Founder of the NASP.
This program offers free foot care clinics to diabetics, seniors and anyone in need of leading-edge, professional foot-care. The four (4) day hands-on clinic will help Kittitians and Nevisians with skin and nail related foot problems, including extreme rough and dry skin, painful cracked heels, and severely thickened toenails.
In the past, over 700 persons have been known to attend and that number could be surpassed this year over the four days.
The clinic will be held at the Old Boys School on Victoria Road, Basseterre, at the following times:
Tuesday, 21 January: 1:00 pm – 4:30pm
