Though details of the incident are still sketchy, it appears that Elvis, his girlfriend and teenage son, were driving along the road leaving the strip, when they became victims to an apparent ambush.
Reports suggest Elvis died on the spot, while his girlfriend who was also was shot is said to be in stable condition in the hospital, while his son escaped with minor injuries.
