The 16-year-old gymnast took a lot of undeserved heat for her hair during this year’s games in London — but now that she’s doing a publicity tour in the U.S., she’s got a new ‘do!

Douglas debuted her longer, tamed locks during her appearance on “Dancing with the Stars“Wednesday night, thanks to celebrity hair stylist Ted Gibson.

“A special thank you to my Gold Medal Celebrity Hair Stylist! @tedgibsonbeauty,” Douglas tweeted about her new look yesterday before she showed off her new tresses.

As for the criticism, Douglas said at the time “It’s so disrespectful! I’m not thinking about that. I’m thinking about bringing a gold medal home.”
