Government asking for public views on telecommunication companies and supermarkets

A new initiative being spearheaded by Government will now offer the opportunity for all citizens to express their views pertaining to the services provided by the communication industry and supermarkets by taking part in a brief survey.

The communication industry and supermarket survey is being carried out as part of the activities leading up to World Consumer Rights Day which will be commemorated on March 15 under the theme “World Consumer Rights Day 2014: Fix Our Phone Rights!”

To this end, the Consumer Affairs Department in the Ministry of International Trade, Industry, Commerce and Consumer Affairs found it necessary to garner the opinions of nationals, particularly on telecommunication, including phone and data service.

Survey forms are available at the Consumer Affairs Department located in the former Development Bank Building on Church Street as well as at ValuMart, RAMS on the Bay Road, Best Buy at Buckley’s, C & C on George St., Island Foods on Cayon St., B’s Enterprises in Sandy Point and Dollar Stretcher in Sandy Point.

The Consumer Affairs Department is urging citizens to take advantage of this opportunity to make their opinions count, by taking part in this brief survey as part of World Consumer Rights Day.  For further information call the Department of Consumer Affairs at 467-1673 or 467-1546.
