Guyana and Combined Colleges & Campuses Arrive Tuesday for Regional Cricket Match

Both teams have so far secured one victory and have also lost one game, in the earlier rounds and will therefore be trying to improve on their performance, if they are to have any real opportunity to avoid the cellar position at the end of the 2012 tournament.

The CCC will be coming to St. Kitts, somewhat confident after they defeated the Leeward Islands in their last game. They would however be mindful that when they met Trinidad in their opening encounter they were easily defeated by the Trinidadians.

Meanwhile, Guyana has also recorded a victory over the Leeward’s from their first game but suffered a major blow at the hands of the Windward Islands on Monday, when they were soundly defeated in Dominica.

Now both teams will be shifting their focus to this weekend’s game in St. Kitts, running from Thursday to Sunday and starting at 10:00am daily.

Local officials have been busy finalizing their plans to host the teams, with preparations in gear to deliver another outstanding event.

During the course of this week and last week, the ground staff at the stadium could be observed making the final touches to the pitch and field, while stadium officials complete the settings of all other facilities.

The St. Kitts Cricket Association’s Interim Management Committee headed by Auckland Hector has appointed a Local Organizing Committee, headed by Mr. Val Henry, as Event Manager, to spearhead the planning and execution of all match activities.
