A statement from the Office of the President said Luncheon was taken to the Caribbean Heart Institute at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation for “a medical assessment after complaining of feeling unwell”.
Earlier this year Luncheon disclosed that he was suffering from cancer and had opted not to have treatment administered.
He also announced plans to give up his role in Government .
However, last month, he told reporters that he had put his plan to proceed on retirement before the end of 2014.
He then indicated that the move by the political Opposition to table and pass a no – confidence motion in the Government had forced him to delay his retirement plans.
