With only hours remaining before the start of the game, Coach of the Guyanese team, Euston Crandon stated, “Team preparation is going well thus far and we’ve been working on our technical aspect and the basic simple things looking to do it right in the nets then transferring it in the game.”
Crandon continued, “We didn’t get the sort of result we were looking at against the Windward Islands but we are looking to take the positive from the last game and move it into this game, the guys know where they went wrong and we are here trying to improve on that.”
Guyana and the CCC were observed today working out in the nets at Warner Park, fine tuning their game, with an eye on victory.
The CCC contingent on the other hand is looking to build on its triumphant win over the Leeward Islands last week and come out on top in this encounter.
Officials on the Local Organizing Committee have indicated that all preparations have been completed and they are now looking forward to four full days of competitive and exciting cricket, running from Thursday to Sunday.
They are reminding the public that the game is free and so cricket fans are being encouraged to support the teams.
