Starting the day on 274-8, the CCC was looking to push their lead in excess of 200, to really challenge the Guyanese and to give themselves a chance at winning, but they lost Ryan Austin very early in the day, to set back the CCC from the get go.
When former West Indies wicketkeeper Batsman, Chadwick Walton resumed on his overnight score of 75, he kept his eyes on the possibilities of his maiden first class hundred, which he got in quick time.
After securing his century, Walton then built a partnership of 63 with Jason Dawes for the final wicket, before Dawes was removed by Deonarine.
With a target set of 219, the Guyanese were rocked early on when they lost Chandrika in the first over and Chattergoon shortly after.
An 83 run partnership from Narsingh Deonarine and Leon Johnson stabilized the Guyanese innings.
After losing Deonarine and Johnson, Guyana looked in trouble and the CCC got a glimpse of hope, but Guyana’s century maker from the first innings, Assad Fudadain brought the innings back on track, before he got out, with the team 5 runs short of the target.
The pair of Royston Crandon and Derwin Christian saw the Guyanese home at just about 4:40 pm.
Assad Fudadain was named man of the match.
