The woman, according to reports, was intercepted sometime around 3:15 a.m. on 3rd June, 2011 by members of the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU). She was reportedly about to embark a Jamaica-bound flight.
Further reports suggest that the woman was going through the airport when her bags were searched and ranks became a little suspicious given the amount of footwear the woman was carrying.
It was discovered that the cocaine was concealed in the different pairs of shoes after a thorough search was conducted of her luggage.
Only two weeks ago a US national was nabbed at the airport with a quantity of cocaine. The man pleaded guilty and is currently serving his time in prison.
