Republic Bank is not saying exactly which of its ATM locations was affected or how many customers have had their accounts compromised.
The Bank would only say that it has become aware of suspicious activity at one of its ATM locations, “prompting us to move immediately to initiate measures to safeguard our customers’ affairs.”
The Bank said that among its actions are the recall of some cards and contacting those cardholders as a matter of urgency to advise them of the situation and to offer a replacement card, free of cost.
“Customer care and convenience remain our highest priority, as we move to make urgent contact with possibly affected customers,” Jonelle Dummett, Manager’s Assistant – Communication and Public Relations of Republic Bank said.
