According to a release from the HTA, the channel was scheduled for debut on 1st April, 2011, operating on channel 8.
The emphasis of the program is to provide a wealth of information on history, culture, and local hideaways on where to dine and lime. The objective is to promote the island to Visitors, along with giving advertisers a broader platform to market their product. The program will have set times during the week and random times during the weekends.
The programming will entail information mainly for Nevis however, for this soft launching we will have both St. Kitts and Nevis programs on air until we find a suitable Nevisian host so we are able to film more content.
The St. Kitts and Nevis Visitor Channel was launched in December of 2008 and being the only dedicated destination channel of its kind it has benefited both the visitors and locals alike.
The St. Kitts and Nevis Visitor Channel is a joint venture of the St. Kitts and Nevis Hotel Tourism Association and Brisbane Productions.
