Hunte Salutes Jamaica’s Triumph in Inaugural Under 17

“Jamaica continues their dominance of regional cricket at every level with another triumph in this most historic inaugural Under 17 tournament,” Dr. Hunte said.

“The WICB is immensely proud of Jamaica’s excellent performances which illustrate that Jamaica’s cricket remains strong and formidable. We salute the young cricketers for bringing glory to their nation once again and continuing Jamaica’s winning ways,” Dr. Hunte added.

“We look forward to continued competitive performances in the WICB Regional Under 15 Tournament, the Under 19 Tournament and the Women’s Twenty20 Tournament which will be hosted in Jamaica next month,” Dr. Hunte said.

“I would also like to thank All Sport for a very well organized tournament and all the officials in Tobago who were instrumental in ensuring the players were well hosted,” Dr. Hunte concluded.

Jamaica outplayed the other five teams to finish at the top of the points table on 29.5 points. Home side Trinidad and Tobago came second with 23.5 points while Windward
