To this effect, the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, has announced that some 44 shelters have been identified to accommodate residents in the event that they become necessary, following damage caused to homes by any future storms. 

Thirteen of these shelters are located in the Basseterre area of St. Kitts, running from Frigate Bay to St. Johnson Village. Between the districts of Palmetto Point to Half Way Tree, 6 shelters have been allocated for residents, while citizens living in Sandy Point will have 5 shelters. The full list is stated below:
