Hutton remanded for smuggling contrabands and drugs into prison

Basseterre, Tuesday, 2nd November, 2021, (MyVue News.com)-The prison authorities in St. Kitts are continuing to deal with the problem of members of the public illegally transporting items into the correctional facility.

The latest incident has resulted in a 27-year-old man being charged for the offences of conveying contraband into the prison and also conveying tobacco into the prison.

The charges for those items were laid on 27th October, 2021.

The authorities have explained that Hutton was also charged for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with intent to supply.

Those charges were laid on 29th October, 2021, but the authorities further explained that all of the offences were committed on 25th October, 2021.

Hutton has since been remanded to prison in Basseterre.
