The beauty queen confided however, that it was only after believing in the true spirit of her personal motto that she was eventually motivated.

Kalia stated, “I am very ecstatic. I never thought I was going to win from the beginning, because I never had any pageant experience and all the other girls had, and so tonight me coming out the winner, is very exciting.”

Kalia also revealed she was low on confidence, but with her personal motto ‘No Fear’ she felt that she could do anything

When asked about her weakest and toughest segments Kalia said, “I can’t say what is my weakest segment, because I put my all into every segment, but my most feared segment was the interview and that’s because it is perceived that the segment is very hard and that is what I was kind of scared of, but I came out and did what I had to do.”

Ms. Huggins went on to say “To overcome my fear, I repeated my motto in my head, No Fear, No Fear, No Fear; and my team also helped me to build the confidence that I needed tonight.”

Kalia also disclosed that within her year of reign, as queen, she would like to take her platform of child abuse forward and create awareness.

A carnival official also announced that Kalia becomes the fourth pageant winner in a row, who was contestant number 3 during the pageant, since 2008.
