Iantavian Queely to be Featured at Virgin Islands Fashion Week

The 23 year old Kittitian beauty is slated to be involved in the Caribbean Catwalk I and II events and will participate in several public relations activities that include visits to media houses, press conferences, courtesy visits with government dignitaries and the St. Kitts-Nevis Association at the University of the Virgin Islands as well as a meet and greet with the World’s Youngest Supermodel, Diva Davanna.

Iantavian has also participated in numerous fashions shows in the United States and

Caribbean and looks forward to representing the Federation at this prestigious event. “It’s been over a year since I have walked the runway but I am thrilled to embrace this once in a lifetime opportunity,” said Miss Queeley. “I am excited to network with models, fashion designers, stylists and other fashion industry professionals.”

The show, which is highly praised as the ‘Caribbean’s premiere fashion event” will be staged at the Frenchman’s Reef Marriott & Morning Star Resort. Kittitian fashion enthusiast Henry Marsham Jr. founded the elite event and in its opening year, it captured The People’s Choice Award for Best Fashion Event in the Caribbean at the 2008 Caribbean Fashion Awards held in Trinidad and Tobago. In March of the following year, the mega-event went prime time with a feature on the CW Network’s very popular reality television program, America’s Next Top Model, hosted by former super model and renowned mogul, Tyra Banks.

Virgin Islands Fashion Week electrifies the American paradise of St. Thomas every October and attracts visitors from the U.S. Virgin Islands, the British Virgin Islands, neighbouring Caribbean islands, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. Celebrities, super models, and media outlets from around the world are always present at the annual event.

The primary goal of Virgin Islands Fashion Week is to introduce ‘fashion tourism’ as a vital and sustainable part of the economy while providing a platform for designers, models, photographers, stylists, make-up artists and other fashion professionals to showcase their talents.
