Basseterre, St. Kitts, 14th April, 2018 – As the Natta Memorial Scholarship Foundation prepares to host Ms. Wendy Fitzwilliams as featured speaker at the third Annual Scholarship Fundraiser on Saturday, 14th April, at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort, an ICWI representative believes Fitzwilliams will have an important message for young people.
Ms. Nordia Dobbs, the Business Development Officer for the Insurance Company of the West Indies (ICWI) office in St. Kitts and Nevis, said ICWI supported the work of the Natta Foundation because of its vision for education and excellence for students at the primary school level.
The scholarship initiatives of the foundation, she said, will help to provide a solid start for the students who are in need of assistance.
It was on such a basis that ICWI continues to contribute to the scholarship fund, as was recently done in a cheque hand over to Dr. Marcus Natta.
Speaking about the upcoming fundraiser, Ms. Dobbs said, “We are beyond excited to hear from the multi-talented, entrepreneur, lawyer and philanthropist Ms. Wendy Fitzwilliams. That’s why we got involved with the Natta Foundation, because we feel strongly about initiatives that are centered around academic and civic excellence at the primary school level.”
Dobbs continued, “It is befitting to have Ms. Wendy Fitzwilliams as the keynote speaker, as she embodies self-worth, confidence and is greatly successful in her many endeavours. She serves as a tremendous inspiration and motivation for the federation’s future leaders, and we are positive her message will resonate with the many youth who are aspiring for great success.”
ICWI support for the Natta Memorial Scholarship Foundation is one of several significant outreach programs and organisations that ICWI supports around the Caribbean region, ranging from health to education.
ICWI has become known as one of the most progressive companies operating in the Caribbean, with a strong sense of corporate responsibility and engagement in the development of people in the Caribbean.
