Arrests made in Post Office break in and bakery van theft

A government release quoted Commissioner of Police, Mr. C. G. Walwyn as saying that police arrested Nikoyan “Mowett” Greaux on suspicion of Larceny at the Basseterre Post Office.

The release also stated that Greaux, who is also the prime suspect in another on-going investigation, was apprehended without incident by the Special services Unit (SSU). 

Police also arrested Paul “Bartez” Sutton of La Guerite Village for larceny related to his role in stealing money from the Island Bakery bread van on Tuesday morning, continued the statement. 

“Sutton was arrested before sundown on Tuesday, (11th October, 2011), after an intense search conducted by Superintendent Wilmoth Hodge and CID officers led to his capture,” said Commissioner Walwyn. 

Commissioner Walwyn stated that this new method of operations is meant to keep the criminal on the run. 

“If you commit a crime and the evidence leads to you, we are coming for you,” he said.
