Increase in Seismic Activity

The Centre advises that there is no need for panic, as there had been similar activities in the past. 

Citizens are in the region, including St. Kitts and Nevis are being urged to be prepared, by knowing how to react if an earthquake transpires. 

Such information is available in the local media also from the Disaster Management office on St. Kitts and on Nevis and from the Seismic Research Centre’s website, www.uwiseismic.com. 

The Seismic Research Centre continues to monitor the Caribbean Region. 

The National Emergency Management Agency will provide any further update as necessary, said a spokesman.
