Basseterre, St. Kitts, 22nd March, 2018 (MyVueNews.com) – One of the most anticipated athletic events on St. Kitts, the TDC Inter-School Championships is about to take centre stage this weekend at the Kim Collins Athletics Stadium.

Speaking with MyVueNews.com, Kilony Johnson, the Public Relations Officer of the St. Kitts-Nevis Amateur Athletics Association (SKNAAA), said fans and spectators will enjoy an exciting event and great performances during the 23rd to 24th March event.

“Just judging from last year, as well as the athlete development we have seen this year at the sports days, it is safe to say that this year’s meet is going to be one to remember,” Johnson said.

The high energy exhibited in the stands is something to experience for anyone going to the Inter-School Championship for the first time.

“Meets such as this, where you have thousands of fans, family and friends chanting and giving that extra motivational support, it helps to drive the athletes to great performances,” Johnson remarked, as he noted, “Also, these types of meets are critically important for the athletes. These are chances for them to show what they can do, so that they can go on to represent St. Kitts and Nevis at the national level.”

The SKNAAA PRO said ticket sales have been brisk, with the Kim Collins Pavilion Stand already sold out for Sunday.

Tickets are available on St. Kitts at the TDC Business Centre and on Nevis from the City Drug Store.
