Speaking exclusively to MiyVue.com a confident Hanley said, “It is not how pretty the costume looks; it’s how you carry it during the parade.”
“I may not know the design as yet, but look at last year’s costume for instance, it was just a simple Indian wear and I won king of the band,” he added.
The King of the Bands revealed to this media house that he has his own unique way of making his costumes winners.
“I tend to put all my energy in my performance while on the road and person who know me well, know that I love to party. That is one of the key elements one has to remember while on the road, it’s all about having fun. The way you carry and perform the costume during parade is what attracts persons‘ attention,” a confident Scotty said.
Meanwhile, Hanley, who has been playing mas with the Inferno Mas troupe for the past five years says, preparations for this year’s presentation are progressing steadily.
“The costumes which have been designed in Trinidad are in the final stages of completion. Persons are already registering and we are hoping that we can have the same amount of participants or even more than last year,” he said.
According to Hanley, the identity of his costume for this year will be revealed by the end of this week, Friday 4th December.
Last year Scotty and the Inferno won King of the Band with “Navajo” The Spirit of Las Vegas.
