J$1m reward for man wanted in UK murder

A J$1 million reward is being offered for the capture of Loandre Palmer who is believed to be involved in the shooting death of British teenager on Saturday, April 21, 2012.

The victim, Malakai McKenzie, was fatally shot outside The Hubb, Sherwood in Nottingham.

The Nottinghamshire Police believe Palmer has since fled to Kingston.

Another suspect in the case, Cameron Cashin, was in June last year found guilty of McKenzie’s murder and is currently serving a prison sentence of 34 years, Detective Chief Inspector Tony Heydon, who led the inquiry, said.

“A murder conviction against Cameron Cashin was secured last year and alongside this we have concentrated our efforts into bringing the other suspects before the court. Our intelligence leads us to believe Palmer is in Kingston, Jamaica. We have worked with authorities in Jamaica and an international arrest warrant has been issued but we haven’t located him to date,” Heydon added.
