JetBlue to launch inaugural service from San Juan to USVI three days early

Customers seeking a jumpstart on a vacation to the US Virgin Islands can also save money on flights Friday, September 23 online, where trips are selling for as low as $39 each way for travel through February 15, 2012.

JetBlue’s inaugural service between Boston’s Logan International Airport (BOS) and St Thomas will operate for the winter season with five weekly departures beginning December 15, 2011 and will operate nonstop on the southbound flight and direct via San Juan on the northbound flight to Boston.

To further celebrate the launch of the airline’s new service to the US Virgin Islands, customers booking travel September 30, 2011 to St Thomas or St Croix from Boston, San Juan or via connecting service from New York’s John F. Kennedy (JFK) can also receive $50 off any JetBlue Getaways vacation package by using promotion code USVI50 at checkout. Travel must take place December 12, 2011 through February 15, 2012.

JetBlue’s flights from San Juan will be operated with its quiet and fuel efficient 100-seat Embraer 190 aircraft (E190), while flights from Boston will be operated with the airline’s spacious Airbus A320 fleet. In Puerto Rico, JetBlue serves San Juan, Aguadilla and Ponce, with service to ten non-stop destinations.

Within the Caribbean the carrier serves Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, St Maarten, St Thomas, and St Croix.
