Jomo Williams Graduates with Master’s Degree

He graduated with a Master’s of Science in Engineering Management and on hand to witness the ceremony were a number of his friends and family including his parents Mr. Clement “Bouncin” Williams and former principal of the Washington Archibald High School (WAHS), Mrs. Cynthia Williams.

In 2005, he graduated from Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Design Technology.

On his return to St. Kitts, Jomo will join the staff at the St. Kitts Electricity Company Limited (SKELEC), he having served as an Operations Engineer in the now defunct St. Kitts Electricity Department from 2006 until he proceeded on study leave in 2010.

Studies in Engineering Management examine the human, financial and technical aspects of management in the context of facilities that conduct engineering activities such as power plants and manufacturing corporations.

Jomo was one of the recipients of the 2010-2011 Organization of the American States (OAS) graduate study scholarships and wishes to use this medium to express his gratitude to the OAS and to encourage other young people to take advantage of the numerous opportunities for growth and development that are open to them.

Prime Minister Dr. Denzil Douglas has extended congratulations to Mr. Williams and his parents for his recent achievement.
