A competition organized in memory of Karence De Costa the 2005 senior Kittitian Superstar winner who died in 2009 in traffic accident saw over ten young contestants starting the journey to becoming the winner.
Ms Bass rocked the crowd and brought all three judges to tears who said they were emotionally attached to the song and that it also brought back memories of Karence’s Semi- Final performance back in 2005, when she also performed the same song.
After the victory Ms. Bass said she felt great that all her hard work has paid off and that she would like to thank her parents, other family members and her church for helping her achieving her goals. Kayla also said to her fellow competitors that they shouldn’t get discouraged and keep striving to reach your goals.
Kayla’s mom said that she is very proud of Kayla and that Kayla has been writing songs for quite a while now and she hopes one day Kayla can get a sponsor so she can have an album and also to further her musical talents.
Second place in the competition went to Kewanna Browne.
The winners are to be presented with trophies from event sponsor Miyvue.com
