Shortly after 8:00am the body of a man was discovered at Fort Charles. It was later revealed that the victim was that of a Kittitian man known as Patrice ‘Flash’ Lawrence.
This is the second homicide victim whose body was discovered at the same Fort for the year, with the first being that of Leo Herbert who was shot to death.
However, police are of the view that Lawrence’s death may have been caused by a sharp or blunt object, following a severe blow to the head.
Though it is not known exactly how long the body of the 41 year old man was there, sources have indicated that it was already at a decomposed stage.
Mr. Lawrence was a resident of Ramsbury, Nevis for some time now. He was last seen on Tuesday 14th August, but was reported missing by close family relatives on Wednesday.
His body was found in nearby bushes. Police have indicated that their investigations are still at an early stage and are unable to provide more details.
