As the seconds ticked away, many persons started celebrating the New Year before the countdown actually got underway. Then with only approximately 10 seconds left in 2010 Ms. Kalia Huggins got the 10 second countdown underway and other persons joined in to welcome the New Year.

As the count reached to one, the crowd yelled Happy New Year, which was greeted by a 10 minute fireworks display.

Though considered somewhat short, the display excited those present, from start to finish, with many persons trying to capture the moment, some with their cameras others on their cell phones.
The event was organized by NICOl International Services Trading & Development Inc.

The fireworks presentation was aimed at attracting the entire general public and visitors, to experience an array of carnival activities, that include the spectacular New Year’s Eve Kittitian Countdown Fireworks Extravaganza, said a spokesman.
