Both Kittitians were considered strong favourites entering their respective contests.

Berkeley, who was sponsored by Oualie Masonry products, secured a total of 596.5 points to move ahead of her nearest rival, Franale Holder, who had to settle for the First Runner-up position with 579 points. She was sponsored by the Nevis Cultural Development Foundation.

It was however a lively competition between these two top contestants with Berkeley also winning the prize for Miss Photogenic and Best Sponsor Appreciation. Holder on the other hand, captured the title for the Miss Popular category and the Best Two Piece Swimwear.

Tera Griffin, sponsored by the Nevis Solid Waste Management Authority, won the Best One Piece Swimwear.

In the Mr. Kool contest, Kevin Adams tallied some 441.5 points, to make his way to the monarchy of that competition. Adams was also the winner of the Mr. Photogenic and Best Beach Wear.

His First runner up was Lorenzo Phillip with 422 points. He also gained the prize for Best Performing Talent.

The Mr. Kool Wear was won by Daquani Newton who also picked up the title of Mr. popular.

Other major contests still to come for this year’s Culturama celebrations include the Senior Calypso Show, Miss Culture Pageant and the Miss Caribbean Culture Show.
