In the end it was two St. Kitts based contestants who captured the crowns, with Shalloyda Hewlett winning the Miss Culture Swimwear contest and Alphonso Henry securing the title of Mr. Kool.
Both titles were previously held by Kittitians who dominated the pageants in 2012.
It was an easy victory for Henry who clearly dominated his competitors, winning two of the four judged segments and also picking up the title of Most Photogenic. He won Best Beach Wear and GQ Wear.
Henry is a well accomplished dancer and choreographer who has had training at the Edna Manley School of Visual & Performing Arts. The new Mr. Kool has also had exposure in overseas destinations like New York, Washington DC, Taiwan and South Korea. He has in the past and continues to share his knowledge by hosting annual summer dance workshops for children.
This Teacher’s Assistant who is mainly assigned to his former primary school, Beach Allen, in Basseterre, is also a member of one of the oldest and most experienced dance companies in the Caribbean, the Okolo Tegremantine Dance theatre, which he joined in 2006. He has also had stints with the CFBC Dance Ensemble.
Henry stage experience also includes a short stint as a junior calypsonian.
His First Runner-up, Shonroy Caesar took honours for Best Talent and Best Interview.

In the Swimwear contest, Hewlett also performed creditably, winning Best Two Piece and tying with Tisha Maynard to win Best One Piece. She too secured the title of Most Photogenic.
This was the second major pageant for Hewlett who a few years ago also entered the National Carnival Pageant during the St. Kitts & Nevis Carnival.
Patricia Clarke, was given the First Runner-up slot and Best Creative Wear, while Tisha Maynard walked away with Second Runner-up, Tiffany Richards-Third Runner-up, (also from St. Kitts), and Marlencia-4th Runner-up.
