Krosfyah Band Arrives for Inception Fete

Upon arrival, the group was given a grand welcome at the VIP Lounge of the RLB International Airport, by organizers of the event. krosfyah2

Specking to MiyVue.com and other reporters on the scene, band leader, Edwin Yearwood, indicated that his group is again extremely happy to be back in St. Kitts to perform for their fans. 

Yearwood stated that St. Kitts is a familiar venue for the band, having previously performed here, including for the St. Kitts Music Festival. He said the island is definitely one of their favourite spots and is held by the band as one of the “sugar lands” of the Caribbean where they like to perform. 

The group, admitted Yearwood is very eager to appear alongside local favourites such as Nu Vybes, Grand Master and Small Axe Band. 

The band was established some 22 years ago, back in 1989, by Edwin Yearwood, Michael Agard, Felix Forde and Anthony Bailey. Over the years it has become of the premier Soca acts in the world. 

They were originally known as Crossfire but in 1993 the name changed to the new format, Krosfyah, as it is called in the local Bajan dialect. 

Among their hits were Pump Me Up, Sweatin and Ultimate Party. 

The Inception Fete is scheduled for Friday 30th December, 2011, starting at 10:00pm.
