Legislation on Equal Pay and Auxiliary Employees to be Debated on Thursday

Clerk of the law-making body, Mr. Jose Lloyd said Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Sustainable Development and Police, Dr. Denzil Douglas will lead debate on four of the bills – The Government Auxiliary Employees Bill; The St. Christopher and Nevis (Mutual Exchange of Information on Taxation Matters) (Amendment) Bill; The Money Services Business (Amendment) Bill and The Tax Administration and Procedures (Amendment) Bill.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Homeland Security, Labour, Immigration and Social Security will lead off discussion on The Equal Pay Bill, while Attorney General and Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs, Patrice Nisbett will introduce The Jury (Amendment) Bill and pilot it through all three stages.

The Government Auxiliary Employees Bill and The Equal Pay Bill were introduced and given a first reading at the previous sitting of the National Assembly.
