Organizers of next week’s concert, dubbed, “A Stitch in Time” have promised that concert-goers will be treated to a night of musical opulence, as top local and Caribbean female artiste take to the Warner Park stage in support of an initiative that places the spotlight on a social issue, violence against women, that should be of concern to everyone.
Among the long list confirmed artistes scheduled to appear, are Queen Anastasia, Shakki, Rolhensha, Empress Livity, Dymanyzd, Queen Ifrica, Cecile, Tanya Stephens, Alaine and Lady Saw.
Given the line up fans should expect a highly anticipated women’s empowerment concert, said a release from the event planners.
They have also disclosed that some of the artistes will pay visits to all of the high schools on St. Kitts, where they will meet and greet students.
“These music icons are role models for young people and so we would like to have them serve as point persons for critical issues that plague societies” said Event Organizer, Wayne Clarke.
“It is important that positive messages are transmitted throughout so that our youth can better understand that there is something embedded in these artistes beyond their musical performances.”
The entertainers will also visit the Five Star sponsor for the event, Brown Hill Communications in Nevis to mix and mingle with the staff and executive team.
“A Stitch in Time” kicks off at 8PM and will be hosted by popular comedienne extraordinaire, Rachel Price and the enthusiastic and amicable Sister Sensia of St. Kitts. Gumption Band out of Jamaica, Royalties and DJ Ronnie Rascal will keep the audience rocking all night.
