This past weekend saw Kim Collins competing at the UKA Aviva International Match in the 60 meters, where he ran a time of 6.66 seconds. After leading for most of the race he was however edged out at the line by Mark Lewis-Francis of Great Britain, who ran a time of 6.65 seconds.
Also competing at the same event was Virgil Hodge who missed most of the past season due to injury. Hodge placed third in the 60 meters, in a time of 7.51 seconds, trailing Jeanette Kwakye (7.26) of Great Britain and Yasmin Kwadwo of Germany, (7.46).
The athletes have been congratulated by local fans and officials for their achievements.
