MiyVue.com has learnt that Cinnamon, is making herself known on the international airwaves and club scenes with her latest single on the ‘split personality’ riddim by producer Seanizzle out of Jamaica.
According to her booking management, SKN Entertainment, the song dubbed as “Pon Di Ting (Female answer) is a direct counteraction to International Dancehall artiste Movado’s song “Pon Di Ting” on the same riddim. “Cinnamon with her clever lyrics, style and flare answers the popular Singjay word for word keeping the original flow of his hook but adding her “spicy flavuor” to the verses,” according to management.
Movado, in his version, talks about giving a girl his everything and in return asks for her full affection. However, in Cinnamon’s version she counteracts by asking the Singjay if he is sure of what he is asking for and continues to explain that she is more than any regular girl that he knows, suggesting to him that she is way too much for him to even handle.
This song has caught the attention of many DJs and has made its way across the globe, being heard on main stream and internet radio stations and gaining street credits in many clubs as far as Italy, Germany and Africa.
Cinnamon always having a great love for music, increased her interest in music when another young and aspiring artist from St. Kitts by the name of Jah Fire, approached her about collaborating on his song entitled “Your Love” on the “Lava Flow Riddim” by Kelvin “D.J Kells” Christopher of the SKNE Music. This collaboration was a solid foundation to what would be the start for her professional career. Cinnamon got her first public performance in 2008 @ Yard Tune Production Extacy Teen Bubble Show. She has also made other local appearances performing at the 2008 Independence Peace Concert alongside Jamaican artists Christopher Martin and Assassin.
