Man Might Have Been Killed Because of Mistaken Identity Says Police

He was killed at his friend’s home in Mafeking Village, Mayaro on the morning of Thursday, 9th June, 2011.

According to Mayaro police, around 1.30 a.m. Gus was asleep on a couch in the living room while his friend, Jerome Dyer, was in a bedroom with his wife when two men barged into the house.

They saw Gus and opened fire.

The gunmen missed and Gus (now awake) attempted to flee by jumping out a window of the house. He fell ten feet down and landed in the bushes below, breaking his left leg.
