Man’s Body Found at Pond’s Estate, Police Investigate Homicide understands that the remains are those of Kervin “Scratch It” Hanley of West Farm and according to a police press release, the discovery was made sometime before 3:50 on the afternoon of 13th June, 2011.

The release further indicated that having received a report “of a homicide”, “police officers from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and Special Services Unit (SSU) responded immediately and their investigations revealed that the body of 25 year-old Kervin Hanley…was found lying in a grassy area alongside a dirt road between canfields in the Ponds Estate area.”

The police communiqué informed that Hanley’s body bore what appeared to be signs of violence.

“According to investigators Hanley’s body had injuries which appeared to be those of gunshot injuries. The District Medical Officer was summoned to the scene and Hanley was pronounced dead on the scene.”

The scene of the crime was processed and Hanley’s remains were removed from the scene and taken to the mortuary.

“The Coroner was also informed and permission was given for the body to be removed to a funeral home under police escort. The scene was processed by officers from the Crime Scene Department and items of evidential value were collected and taken into police custody for further analysis.”

No suspects are in custody however, the authorities have indicated that they are making investigations into the find.
